NHS Project Manager by Day, R&B Artist Chidimma by Night: Rosemary Nwodoh's Inspiring Journey (2026)

By day, she manages projects for the NHS, but at night, she transforms into a captivating R&B artist—meet Rosemary Nwodoh, a 26-year-old from Chatham who has been immersed in the world of music since her childhood choir days. Currently employed at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital, Rosemary channels her passion for music under the stage name Chidimma, where her works can be discovered on various streaming platforms.

During the lockdown brought about by the Covid pandemic, Rosemary began to seriously consider the idea of recording and performing her own songs. This period of reflection not only inspired her musical ambitions but also prompted a significant shift in her career path. Originally on track to complete a law degree, she decided to pivot towards the healthcare sector, ultimately taking on a role with the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

"I found myself falling out of love with law," she revealed, indicating a desire to pursue more creative avenues. With the extra time that the pandemic provided, many—including Rosemary—felt a renewed appreciation for life and the opportunities it presents.

She reminisced about that transformative time, saying, "I started to ponder what truly brings me joy and how I could share that joy with others." Her love for singing, nurtured through years in school choirs, ignited a spark that led her to start writing and recording music with her brother at home. “That’s where my passion just blossomed,” she noted.

Interestingly, her skills as a project manager have proven beneficial in her artistic journey. Although managing projects in the NHS is quite different from musical endeavors, the organizational skills she developed are invaluable, particularly when it comes to scheduling gigs, securing studio time, and coordinating recording sessions.

Since launching her music career, Nwodoh has graced stages in London and various locations across the UK, releasing several singles along with an EP titled "Love, Chidimma." She expressed, "Writing music and performing are truly my favorite activities."

For now, she remains open to embracing new opportunities as they arise, stating, "I’m just thrilled to perform whenever I can and curious to see where this journey takes me." The thought of having released an EP was something she never envisioned, leaving her excited for what the future holds.
